Since inception, more than 152,000 children from throughout Orange County have attended the award-winning Children's Water Education Festival, which is recognized nationally as the largest event of its kind. Its mission is to educate students about water-related and environmental issues. Never has there been a more important time to teach our children that they can make a difference in protecting our water resources and environment for today, tomorrow and the future.

The longevity and success of this award-winning event is the result of volunteer participation from individuals and groups who understand the value and importance of community involvement. We hope you will join us at the Festival and volunteer your time for this worthwhile cause. If you know of others who may be interested in volunteering, please forward this information to them. Volunteer consents to OCWD checking volunteer's name against the Megan's Law database. In the event volunteer's name appears on the Megan's Law database, volunteer shall not be allowed to volunteer at the Children's Water Education Festival.
